You might be tempted to brush your teeth immediately after drinking a soda, but you should hold off. However, the acids in soda will soften your enamel, so wait to brush for at least 30 minutes in order to prevent doing additional damage.

Instead of brushing, you should consider rinsing your mouth out with water in order to remove harmful acids from your teeth. The result will be less risk of experiencing erosion without any dangerous scrubbing and wearing away of the enamel.
